Any fulfilment business needs to be forward thinking on technology strategy and at Move Fresh we listen to our customers for their input. We’ve just launched new client portal features such as simpler manual order creation alongside reporting updates and a dashboard refresh that puts critical stock data front and centre for clients. Need to keep an eye on short-life stock, or have quick access to fast or slow sellers? It’s all on your portal homepage now.
Alongside this we have a new bill of materials function that gives e-commerce brands the flexibility to build D2C £-offers and drive-up average spend; all safe in the knowledge that you will still have food lot traceability and stock visibility through our system.

So how did your busy period go? We’ve had a busy end to the year at Move Fresh successfully onboarding an innovative new wine sector customer on the run up to a busy festive period and we look forward to several new brands coming on stream with us in January.
This is a great time of year to review your 3PL arrangements and we would be delighted to talk to brands looking for a food specialist and flexible fulfilment partner that can really deliver. In particular, the end of 2022 has shown the carrier network to be creaking at the seams so finding trusted partners for your brand has never been more important.
This weekend we are setting up a new on-line client for fulfilment. This innovative wine seller had outgrown their warehouse and wanted to focus on the brand and growing their business; so last orders left from just outside of London on Friday, they loaded up the trucks and the next day we have the stock here.
The Move Fresh warehouse team are setting up bulk storage and pick locations ready for shipments on Monday morning. Our client has uploaded all the product data to our warehouse systems and having developed a new order interface for their specific needs we will be picking by barcode on Monday.

Connecting your web store to our warehouse system couldn’t be easier. Your coffee will still be warm, as just 10 minutes connects your Shopify to our warehouse to give you full visibility on stock, product batch traceability and all your orders. We also connect seamlessly to carrier systems. Really is that simple.
Not using Shopify, we have rapid integrations available for WooCommerce and API capability for other store formats.
We are proud members of Scotland Food & Drink and excited to be involved in this year’s fortnight celebration of all things great in Scottish Food. The industry is a BIG contributor to Scotland’s economy. It is worth around £14 billion each year and accounts for one in five manufacturing jobs.
At Move Fresh we want to help the 18,850 Scottish food and drink businesses (or at least some of them!!) to grow their brand through direct-to-consumer channels. We make fulfilment easy with food focused warehousing, attractive logistics rates and systems that connect your web store to our warehouse and carriers in real-time. All of this ensures you get to focus on producing great food and your brand.
Reach out to Ewan or Iain and we’ll work through your requirements with you, whether you are looking to grow direct to consumer or are just starting on your journey in D2C.
Here at Move Fresh we have just confirmed our accreditation as a Real Living Wage employer.
The Real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate calculated according to the costs of living. Employers choose to pay the real Living Wage on a voluntary basis, recognising the value of their workers and ensuring that a hard day’s work receives a fair day’s pay.
Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 52,000 people in Scotland and put over £310 million extra into the pockets of low paid Scottish workers.
You can view our registration and find out more about Real Living Wage employers here.
