Food expertise – key for Jane Plan was a partner that understood food with its unique requirements for product handling and traceability, and of course BRCGS certification.
With decades of food industry experience, Move Fresh have also provided advice on food legislative compliance relating to market development.
Situation and onboarding – the Move Fresh project team drew on decades of experience in both food & drink ops and tech sector projects to deliver a smooth transition from an existing 3PL. With a large and complex portfolio of food products, Jane Plan needed a partner that could handle intensive, bespoke, packing & packing requirements, on-brand packaging standards and best-in-class on-time-in-full delivery performance.
Technology – onboarding required development of integrations to the proprietary Jane Plan systems linking stock, pick’n’pack processes, courier data and returns. The Move Fresh tech team rapidly developed sandbox test integrations and a fully tested go-live system was in operation by the transition date.
Managed packaging service – Move Fresh partnered with Jane Plan to develop new specifications for outer shippers and inserts for meal deliveries bringing a reduction in transit damages and improved unboxing experience for customers. Packaging inventory is now fully sourced and managed by Move Fresh allowing Jane Plan to focus elsewhere on its supply chain.
